Teneo Group is proud to announce a significant leadership transition, with Mark Hughes officially stepping into the role of Managing Director and Owner, effective 1 July 2025.
Mark’s journey with Teneo began in 2011, when he entered the lining industry at ground level. Since then, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s growth—co-founding Teneo in 2013 and progressing through roles in quality control, site supervision, and most recently, Lining Manager.
“Teneo has been a leader in environmental containment for over 15 years—delivering specialist solutions across the waste, mining, oil and gas, and water sectors,” says Mark. “I’ve had the privilege of working with our dedicated team on projects across the country, and I’m incredibly proud to now lead the business into its next chapter.”
This transition follows the departure of outgoing Managing Director Michael Walsh, whose leadership has been fundamental to Teneo’s strong reputation. “I want to thank Michael for the legacy he leaves behind,” Mark adds. “I’m honoured to carry it forward and continue building on the foundations he helped establish.”

Mark also acknowledged the contributions of Aisling Walsh, the broader team, and especially Graham McManmon, who will continue with Teneo in a new capacity as Non-Executive Director. Graham’s continued involvement brings valuable strategic oversight and continuity as the business moves into its next phase.
In his announcement, Mark expressed heartfelt thanks to his wife Krystle and their family for their ongoing support. “Their encouragement has been constant, and I’m deeply grateful.”
