In December 2019, the Teneo team successfully completed the installation along the tailings dam wall at Mount Isa Mines. The 1.6km long, 1.5m high dam wall installation was finished on time, on budget and safely with zero harm.
Scope of work included:
- Installation of geosynthetics consisted of 36,000m2 of GCL & 36,000m2 of HDPE
- Excavation and backfilling of 2.8km of Anchor Trench progressively with the installation of geosynthetics
- Entire tailings wall 36,000m2 was electrically spark tested to ensure there was no leakage
- Installation of geosynthetic material along the west wall was installed in 15 days
